Damon Locks es artista visual, educador, vocalista, músico y DJ. Recibió su BFA de The School of the Art Institute de Chicago. Es artista docente con el programa SPACE – School Partnership for Art and Civic Engagement a través del Museum of Contemporary Art. Su conjunto musical, Black Monument Ensemble, se ha presentado en el MCA, Garfield Park Conservatory y el Chicago Cultural Center. Es portador de multiples premios, becas y subvenciones tales como Helen Coburn Meier and Tim Meier Achievement Award in the Arts (2015), Chicago Artists Coalition MAKER (2016), Soros Justice Fellowship (2017), 3Arts / Reva & David Logan Foundation (2019).

Damon Locks is a visual artist, educator, vocalist/musician, and deejay. He attended The School of the Art Institute in Chicago where he received his BFA in Fine Arts. He is a 2015 recipient of the Helen Coburn Meier and Tim Meier Achievement Award in the Arts and participated in The New Quorum music residency in New Orleans. Damon Locks is also a 2016 Chicago Artists Coalition MAKER Grant recipient and a co-recipient of a 2017 Soros Justice Fellowship as well as a  and 2019 3Arts / Reva & David Logan Foundation Awardee.
